Announcements

We are going to the Motherlode Country! I know this is not scheduled until 2010 but I am really excited to offer our next expedition to a semi-ghost town. On Saturday, February 6, 2010, The annual CCPI expedition will be in Coulterville, part of the Motherlode. This small town has a unique history going back to the middle 1800’s with buildings that were built over 100 years ago and still being used today. The Museum itself is one the best small Museums I’ve ever seen. And the cemetery is to die for! (no pun intended)

The owners of the Hotel Jeffrey boast they have “17 friendly spirits” and CCPI has investigated twice with amazing results as some PS 101 students have seen and heard from the evidence that was presented in class.

The CCPI Expeditions are limited to 20 people and open to PS 101 students and selected guests only on a first come first serve basis. Please read the following:

1.  The cost for the expedition is $25 per person and does not include room, meals, transportation, etc.

2.  The Hotel has 22 rooms and reservations are on a first come first serve basis. Go to www.HotelJeffreyGold.com for prices and reservations. Members of the Expedition will receive a 20% discount on rooms but must say they are with CCPI when booking your room. You can also call Cherylann at (209) 852-0233 to make your reservations. It is suggested you make reservations as soon as possible and double up with other ghost hunters to help with costs, if you’d like.

3. Be aware of the seasons and weather. We will be indoors and outdoors.

4. Clothing is your choice but it is suggested NO open toe shoes and wear jeans or long pants for your safety and bring heavy and light jackets/coats.

5. The expedition fee is non-refundable unless your spot can be filled prior to February 6, 2010.

To secure your spot, go to the paypal button at the bottom of this article. Be sure include a comment stating you are with the CCPI Expedition for February 6th, 2010.

Bring all your investigation equipment and be prepared for a wonderful weekend.. Further instructions and information will be sent out prior to February 6th, 2010 or you can contact CCPI with any requests for participation or questions at ccpifresno@aol.com.

The Ghost Walks

Join us for a historical and entertaining stroll through the Tower District in search of ghosties, ghouls and things that go bump in the night. Find out where the spirits dwell and haunt the Heart of the Tower.

Or come take a walk through Old Town Clovis and let us tell you stories from the other side. Stories of love, loyalty and mystery: of the men and women who settled here over 100 years ago and perhaps have never left.

Both Walks take place every Friday & Saturday night from 7:30 – 9:30 pm beginning October 1st through May 30th. Each Ghost Walk is meant to be an entertaining stroll along Olive Avenue in the Tower District or along Pollasky in Old Town Clovis and last for approximately 2 hours

Nightfall Tours will take you on a journey and thrill you with tales of the city alongside the ghosts who still roam the night. So, if you like history you’ll have a good time; if you like ghost stories, you’ll have a good time. But if you like history & ghost stories you’ll have a very, very good time. Cost is $18 pp and open to those 18 and older.

For reservations contact www.nightfalltours.com or call 260-1738

For questions or comments, please contact nightfalltours@yahoo.com or ccpifresno@aol.com

Advisement: This Tour is not scary nor does it contain Halloween props like blood, vampires or extra body parts for decorations. Nothing will jump out and scare Tour attendees, it is not in the script. It is intended for mature audiences only and no one under 18 will be allowed to participate.

“HAUNTINGS IN CENTRAL CALIFORNIA

Ok folks, this just in. CCPI and Hangin’ Tree productions has just wrapped up the first in a series of documentaries titled “Hauntings in Central California” and we have featured the Sierra Sky Ranch as our first haunted locale. We are ecstatic to now offer this to the public. The DVD is approximately 59 minutes long and is selling for $17.99 plus shipping and handling.

CCPI has started filming local haunts in Central Ca for a couple of reasons. One, to help promote local businesses and 2, a way to raise money for paranormal research. Most of the selected sites are open to the public and welcome paranormal groups to investigate their establishments. Not only will these Documentaries give the investigator a first look at some the “haunted” places in their own backyard but also give the interested viewer a look at our local history plus a chance to see what ghost hunters do, what we look for and how we analyze the evidence without all the hype and drama seen on some of the shows currently on TV.

If interested in purchasing a copy, contact www.hangintreeproductions.com or email them at videoindependents@mac.com.

Disclaimer: This material is copyrighted and is a crime to sell, show, televise, copy, burn or otherwise distribute without the express written consent of Central Ca Paranormal Investigators and Hangin’ Tree Productions. Violators will be prosecuted and penalties may include a fine, incarceration or both. To obtain permission to use this Documentary for anything other than single personal use only, please contact CCPIfresno@aol.com.

Bring the kids for Trick or Treating to the ZOO! CCPI will be at the Chaffee Zoo this year and it is the first time a paranormal group has been accepted to participate as a treat station during this wonderful yearly family event on October 23, 24 & 25, 2009 from 5-8 pm.

ZooBoo is an exciting, fun, family-oriented Halloween celebration! The entire Zoo is decorated for the occasion. Kids will enjoy live entertainment, carnival games (extra charges apply), fun and prizes, plus trick-or-treating throughout the Zoo!

Paranormal Studies 101

The Paranormal Studies Program at the Fresno Adult School is going into its fifth year and still going strong. Its limited to 20 students and on a first come first served basis. This years field trip is planned for November7, 2009 and may include an extra cost but as in the past, with little or no sleep everyone has a great time. Last class, we even got snowed in for a couple of hours but that didn’t stop us from having fun.

Learn how to hunt for ghosts, what equipment to use and how to analyze your own pictures for paranormal phenomena and recordings for Electronic Voice Phenomena. This is a 6 week program where students will work in teams, just like real ghost hunting groups. At the end, each team will present their findings with pictures, evp clips and reports to the class.

If you or any of your friends would like to join us, remember the class fills up fast so register early either online at www.fas.edu, click Community Education, then click Business & Careers to find the Paranormal class listed or call the Fresno Adult School at 457-6015 after August 10th and ask for the Community Education department.

CCPI Psychic Unit: The Lightworkers

I am proud to announce 2 new additions to the CCPI group. First is The Lightworkers. It has long been a dream of mine to include a metaphysical component to the scientific side of paranormal investigating. I have always believed the two can work together and enhance each other in communicating with the spirits and validating their existence.

The Unit is a group of gifted psychics & sensitives; Michelle, Darcy, Jen, Johanna and

Marla, who have already been instrumental in assisting CCPI during investigations .

You can go to their website www.ccpilightworkers.com read their mission statement and

bios.

Besides assisting CCPI, Michelle, the Unit leader is currently conducting meditation circles and training others who wish to understand their gifts. She will also be teaching a class at the Fresno Adult School this Fall starting Sept 19th, where others can learn about intuition, self awareness, spiritual growth and how to develop, understand and control their abilities. Call the school at 457-6015 for further details. In addition, Michelle lectures to groups and clubs and organizations, just contact her through The Lightworkers website.

CCPI-OAKHURST

The second announcement is another new addition to the CCPI group. CCPI-Oakhurst. Team leader is Jr Smith and his investigators include Leo, Marilyn & Sean McMahon and Mike. Many of you already know Jr, Leo & Marilyn and they are certainly a welcome addition to CCPI. I am very excited about the new direction CCPI is taking and look forward to all the new adventures. CCPI-Oakhurst will make their debut at the Willow Bridge Bookstore on October 10th. Come by and say hello if you’re in the area.

Announcements:

CCPI will be at the Willow Bridge Bookstore in Oakhurst, California on Oct 10, 2009 from 2-4 pm.

If you or someone you know wishes to have CCPI investigate a possible haunting, contact us through our website, www.ccpifresno.org.

That’s it for the Fall CCPI Newsletter folks. Along with all the events listed, CCPI continues to lead the San Joaquin Valley in paranormal research and investigation work. We continue to add events and suggest you check our website calendar often. Our primary goal is to assist others in understanding the paranormal phenomena occurring around them and finding irrefutable proof that ghosts do indeed exist!

Take care all,
